For the past forty-nine years, Tom has been involved in the selling of major infrastructure products and services in the electric utility marketplace. Prior to this start, he earned an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and along the way, obtained a graduate degree in business administration. Initially, Tom sold these products directly, then held management positions in human resources, sales and marketing, strategic planning, and customer service, all from the factory perspective.

Twenty-four years ago, Tom founded a manufacturers representative firm, now representing in excess of fifteen independent manufacturers, selling to electric utilities and large industrial firms with significant energy distribution systems, as well as the distributors, contractors and consultants serving those utilities, operating in the state of Michigan. These products can be found in power plants, substations, transmission lines and factories. Some of the products are large, some costing a million or more dollars each. Others are accessories or parts costing as little as a few hundred dollars. Annually the firm sells between ten and twenty five million dollars in products and services. Fourteen years ago, Tom and his wife founded a property management company.

Tom and his wife have been married for twenty four years and have two children in college. He is active in their local church, working in its spiritual, asset management and financial activities. Tom’s family supports various missionaries around the world. When not busy with the above, he enjoys flying as a private pilot, playing golf and fiddling in his woodworking shop.
