Small things, like a growing shoe, can make a big difference for families impacted by poverty.

With The Shoe That Grows as your Mission Project, your kids can see this in action. Our cultural activities are the perfect mission add-on for your Vacation Bible School, Sunday School or Awana program. Teach your kids about practical ways to alleviate poverty as they help make a difference in the lives of kids around the world.

Frequently asked questions.

Q: What do the funds we raise go to support?
A: When you sign up to receive the materials, you will be able to indicate how you would like the funds allocated at the end of your fundraising timeframe. You may choose to purchase The Shoe That Grows and either include them in your Christmas shoeboxes, or distribute your purchased shoes on your church’s mission trip. OR, you may make a donation to support the mission and work of Because International.

Q: What if we already have a curriculum and just want to participate in the Mission Project?
A: Great! Our Mission Project is structured as an add-on rather than as a complete curriculum. We have built out activities and videos specific to the Mission Project to help make it easier for you to promote the mission with your church families. You can use this in conjunction with your VBS week, for an Awana mission month, or for any other children’s ministry event throughout the year. You can use as much or as little of the material as you would like.

Q: What are the cultural activities?
A: The curriculum features countries where we have distributed pairs of The Shoe That Grows. Each country comes with cultural facts and an activity—either a game or a craft—to help the children you work with connect with other children and cultures around the world.
