Because International’s mission is to alleviate poverty by distributing impact products and supporting product-focused entrepreneurs. Our first product was The Shoe That Grows, a shoe that expands five sizes and lasts for years. To date, over 400,000 pairs have gone to kids and families around the world and it’s being produced in Kenya—bringing jobs to one of the countries where The Shoe That Grows is distributed most.
Now we’re taking what we’ve learned from developing a manufactured product and sharing this knowledge with entrepreneurs who have their own ideas for innovative products. The Because Accelerator is a completely online program that helps entrepreneurs take their products to the next level through training, coaching, networking and funding. We want to help local leaders create local jobs and elevate their communities.
Role Description
We are seeking a creative and organized Marketing Manager to join our team. In this position, you will lead the marketing team in collaborating cross-departmentally to achieve shared goals. You must be able to communicate effectively, keep yourself and others on task, and provide strategy for the use of consistent, meaningful content across multiple platforms to drive traffic and conversions.
Functions and Responsibilities
Strategize, produce and implement marketing campaigns to reach revenue goals
Produce, in collaboration with the marketing team and outside contractors, content including story, photo, video, infographic, etc.
Make updates to the content, layout and design of becauseinternational.org
Manage and update paid advertising campaigns through Facebook and Google
Provide strategy for the creation and implementation of a social media marketing plan and editorial calendar
Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
Work with the marketing team to optimize website content and copy utilizing SEO and analytics best practices
Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness for social media and website content
Collaborate with other departments on a variety of marketing related needs
Manage and coordinate projects and tasks related to the above
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven track record of increasing traffic and conversions for other brands
Demonstrated success in a senior marketing or conversion strategy position
3+ years experience in digital marketing, e-commerce or related field
Degree or equivalent experience in marketing
Compensation
$53,000–$59,000 annually, depending on experience
403(b) with employer match up to 3%

Based at our Nampa, Idaho office
Hybrid schedule with mix of in-office and virtual/WFH days
